Try diving in Rarotonga's shallow lagoon. Dive to depths of no more than 2m, within the Tikioki Marine Park. Lots of fish to see, a great way to experience scuba, in a safe, confined environment.

Discover the wonder of breathing on Scuba in the sheltered, safe lagoon of Rarotonga with this scuba introduction for absolute beginners. The Lagoon Dive programme is especially for people that want to try scuba for the very first time. See coral gardens, beautiful reef fish and glide through the water with ease.

You will be taught the diving basics, enough to be able to dive safely and confidently under the supervision of your instructor. All the time needed will be taken to ensure you’re comfortable with the equipment and the basic skills before moving on.

Once you are comfortable using scuba we head out for an underwater tour of the Tikioki or Aroa marine reserves. These lagoons are no deeper than a couple of metres and team with a variety of fish and corals that enjoy the protection the marine reserve offers.

Throughout your diving experience your safety is managed by a qualified and professional dive instructor. Groups are small, a maximum of 8 students per instructor, so you always have someone watching out for you. At Pacific Divers we have had great success with the Lagoon Dive programme. Many people have had their first underwater experience with us and for many it was the experience of a lifetime. If you have ever dreamt about diving beneath the sea, your experience with us is likely to be very satisfying indeed.

Minimum age is 10. No certification required.
